Traveling to
South America
I spent 25 days between December 2015 and January 2016 traveling throughout Bolivia, Peru, and Brazil. During my travels, I explored healthcare facilities in order to understand how different nations and cultures provide healthcare to their citizens. I learned about the obvious differences and subtle similarities between North and South American healthcare practices by touring facilities and talking to local citizens about their healthcare experiences.
Although I noticed remarkable differences between the lifestyle and resources characteristic of North and South America, I noticed one distinct and important similarity between the two cultures:
play is the universal language of children!
